History of VOFI

In the fall of 2002, James Robinson began to teach himself how to make the Bible comprehensive and life applicable. With the support of his dear friend, Rev. Olujimi Brown, James developed a passion not only to navigate the scriptures to support his own walk in faith, but he also became so eager to teach whoever he knew how they could find peace from reading God’s word.

James started writing daily devotionals, and took a huge risk by sending them to family, friends, associates, and people he rarely even knew. It was a risk because just when he felt that others would be proud that he had decided to turn his life around and teach the Bible; he later learned that not all people have the same life experience. Due to the fact that people do not have the same life experiences, he discovered that they envision the image and character of God in so many different ways.

After many ups and many downs, he persevered and kept writing. He later learned how to build websites, and after days and nights spent in prayer, the Lord gave him a vision. The purpose of this site was to post different devotionals daily so that when someone felt the need for a word of encouragement, they could have access to Biblical clarification on a 24/ 7 basis.

After (8) years of writing and distributing, God has provided James with the resources needed in order to convert Village of Faith to a eEvangelism tool obtainable throughout the world.
