New Victories: From One Testimony To Another

Psalm 46: 1

On the day James added a testimony section to his website, it amazed him that if he were to study the word of God, and make it life applicable, then some of the most horrific situations in his life could become beneficial lessons for others. In other words, if James were to compare a biblical story to an instance where the devil was trying to destroy him, he would experience an act of salvation knowing that all the thing's the devil meant for bad, God could take all and turn them into testimonies. James fell in love with God almighty when the Lord rescued him from the scariest moment of his life, and wanted to share his victory with the world. It was then when he developed a dream to be a witness for God one day.

It's been five years since this unforgettable experience occurred, and two years since James has posted it on the Internet so that people all over the world could see a divine miracle. There have been people who were rescued, there have been people who were inspired, and unfortunately there have been people who did not receive James's testimony like others have, and responded in great criticism.

Those who care for James very much have recently tried to offer suggestions to James about his website, but he would not listen because he felt that if he took his testimony down, then he would fail those who really needed his story when they had no one to turn to. He has been praying and praying, asking God to help him trust that these people are only concerned because they are trying to help him move on to bigger and better things, and let the past be the past.

Finally, a voice spoke. It told James that he did not have to take his website down, but it was a must that he move on. So rather than destroy his gift for witnessing to others completely, all he had to do was go from one testimony, to the next.

James's new testimony is that he has learned he cannot fight this battle alone. Not only does he need help, but he also needs love. From this day forth James has committed to make every attempt to being open to suggestion instead of becoming close-minded and self-considerate. For this simple reason, he has experienced a new victory. God will always be his refuge and strength, and will forever be a very present help in trouble...
